Hannah’s Approach to Therapy
“I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly and authentically. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth, and I work collaboratively with each client to build trust and understanding throughout the process. My approach is client-centered, and I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns while developing practical coping strategies. With younger clients, I integrate play therapy techniques to support emotional expression and processing in a way that is developmentally appropriate. I strive to meet each individual where they are, supporting them at their own pace as they work toward healing and personal growth.”

“I want families to feel welcomed, safe, and at ease when they walk into my space. Clients may choose to work with me because I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is key to meaningful progress, and I work to build trust with both clients and their families.” - Hannah Phelps, LPCA
Why Hannah loves Play Therapy: “I love Play Therapy because children often communicate their deepest emotions through play long before they have the words to explain them.” Learn more about Play Therapy at Nurture Nest HERE.
